Breadalbane is a small, intimate Care Home delivering individual personal care and attention to all that reside there. It offers a high standard of care for elderly people in pleasant surroundings close to the centre of Castleford. A large car park at the rear ensures there are no parking problems. There are areas at both the front and back which provide a pleasant environment to sit out for coffee and afternoon teas. Breadalbane Residential Care Home maintains a homely feel being tastefully decorated and well furnished. An oak panelled entrance reception area greets you on arrival, immediately making you feel at home. There are is a lounge adequate for an individual to sit and watch television or to see his/her relatives in privacy. Both the lounge and the dining room feature the original ornate ceilings and bay windows which were in the house in 1912, again reflecting the homely environment. Special diets and individual meals are all freshly prepared and served daily in the home. Special occasions and Birthdays are always celebrated by both staff and residents, where a party atmosphere is created along with a cake and party trimmings in order to make the day extra special. The aim of Breadalbane Residential Care Home is to create an extremely caring environment giving dignity and respect to all Residents. To treat and care for everyone as if it is their own relative. Regular optional activities under the guidance of two activity co-ordinators take place five days a week. The manager will arrange the service of a Chiropodist, Dentist, or Optician as required. Visitors are welcome at any time, either in the privacy of the Resident's room or in one of the communal areas. There is always a tray of coffee/tea with biscuits available. Experienced staff are on duty 24 hours a day being there to assist when required and provide that individual support when needed. We encourage and sustain independence, while providing all the physical, clinical and spiritual care that is required |
